PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Oxyethyldiphosphonic acid (OEDP) is a colorless or light yellow liquid (or crystalline substance) that has strong chelating properties and high resistance to thermal decomposition, oxidation and hydrolysis. Its ability to bind metal ions, in particular calcium, magnesium and iron, makes it an effective ingredient in household chemicals.

Chemical formula: C2H8O7P2

OEDP is obtained by synthesizing phosphorous acid with ethanol, which ensures its high purity.

APPLICATIONS

– Detergent ingredient:

Used as a water softener to prevent scale formation on dishes and equipment during washing. Added to detergents and liquid detergents to improve cleaning performance in hard water.

– Anti-corrosion agent:

Used in cleaning compositions for metal surfaces, providing protection against corrosion.

– Descaling agents:

Effective ingredient in liquids for removing mineral deposits from kettles, coffee makers, dishwashers, etc.

– Formula stabilizer:

Provides stability to formulas in products such as all-purpose detergents, glass and floor cleaners.

– Chelating agent:

Added to compositions to remove stains and soiling associated with metal ions.
