Propylene glycol is a colorless, odorless, viscous liquid with a faintly sweet taste. This substance is characterized by high hygroscopicity and good solubility in water, alcohols and some organic solvents. Due to its safety and universal properties, it is widely used in the production of household chemicals.

Propylene glycol is obtained in the process of hydration of propylene oxide.

APPLICATIONS

– The main component in the production of detergents: Used as a solvent for active components in liquid detergents (washing gels, cleaning liquids). Ensures the stability of the product formula and uniform distribution of ingredients.

– Humectant in household chemicals: Used in fabric conditioners, air fresheners and other products to ensure optimal moisture levels.

– Emulsion stabilizer: Added to creams, polishes, glass cleaning fluids to stabilize the structure of emulsions.
