PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

DPN (dipropylene glycol monomethyl ether) is a clear colorless liquid with a slight ethereal odor. It is characterized by high solubility in water and many organic solvents, low volatility and high temperature stability. Due to its properties, DPN is widely used in household chemicals as a solvent, stabilizer and component of multifunctional formulas.

Chemical formula: C7H16O3

DPN is obtained by the reaction of propylene oxide with methanol.

APPLICATIONS

– Solvent in household products: Effectively dissolves fats, oils and other organic contaminants. Used in products for cleaning glass, surfaces, furniture and floors.

– Component of detergents: Provides deep cleaning of surfaces, facilitates stain removal. Reduces the formation of streaks and marks after cleaning.

– Stabilizer in formulas: Increases the homogeneity of the product composition, reduces the evaporation of active ingredients. Used in emulsions for furniture care products and polishes.

– Additive to disinfectants: Improves the solubility and uniform distribution of active ingredients.

– Base for air fresheners: Provides slow evaporation of aromatic components for a longer effect.
